Mug Former Kit for Slab Built Mugs
Perfectly round slab mugs, every time. Wrap your slab around our mug former, add the base and handle using the matching templates, and you have a neat, even mug in minutes, no wheel needed.

What is in the kit
- Mug former: a smooth drum to wrap your slab around
- Wall template: cuts the slab to the exact length and height
- Base template: a matching circle for the base
- Handle template: a comfortable curved handle shape
Sizes
- Standard: about 300ml finished mug, 8cm across
- Large: about 400ml finished mug, 9cm across
How to use
- Roll an even slab around 5 to 6mm thick. Our clay thickness guides make this easy
- Texture it with a texture roller if you like
- Cut the wall and base using the templates
- Wrap the wall around the former, join the seam and add the base
- Slide the former out once the clay can hold its shape, then add the handle
Care
Wipe clean with a damp sponge and dry. Keep away from high heat. Once used with clay, keep for craft use only.
Care Instructions
When caring for and cleaning your products, please use warm soapy water and wipe clean only. Abrasive cloths and detergents should not be used. This item is not suitable for the dishwasher and should not be submerged in water.
Although the highest amount of care has been taken to ensure each product is food-safe and ready for you to use, please wash before first use.

Delivery methods
We have a growing catalogue of ready to send products running parallel to our handmade bespoke service. All products ready to send are despatched next working day via your chosen delivery method.
Made to order and handmade products are indicated by the blue tag at the top of the product information - generally, these are ready to despatch within 3-5 days and they will be sent via your chosen delivery service once made. For rush orders or special requirements, please contact us.
UK Delivery
Within the UK, deliveries will usually take place between 8am and 6pm and all our delivery methods our fully tracked. We offer free UK standard delivery (3-4 days) on orders over £75*. For orders under £75, a £3.95 P&P charge will be applied at checkout. UK orders over £150 benefit from free express delivery (1-2 days).
International Delivery
We ship globally with the majority of orders being despatched via our expedited service with Royal Mail or DHL Express. Orders to the US and Canada can arrive in as little as 2-3 business days, while other international locations take on average 3-5 business days. Please note, delivery times vary depending on your address and are for guidance only.
Returns Policy
We offer the right to return within 14 days of purchase.
You must contact us within 14 days and we must receive your return within 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
Please note - return orders may be subject to a £2.00 restock and admin fee. This will be deducted from your refund.
