Built to the design, engineered to the load

Cake designers come to us when the piece they have drawn does not exist. We work from a sketch, a mood board or a render and turn it into something that can be transported, assembled on site and loaded with real cake.

How a bespoke stand is built

Start pointYour sketch, render, mood board or dimensions. No CAD needed at your end

EngineeringWe work out the load path, the fixings and how it comes apart for transport before anything is cut

MaterialsHardwood, birch ply, acrylic, steel, brass, aluminium, resin and large-format 3D print, alone or combined

FinishPainted, powder coated, plated, polished, stained or colour matched, with a sample sent before build where needed

Food contactFood-safe materials and finishes specified for any surface that meets food

AssemblyDesigned to be assembled and dismantled on site by one person wherever possible

PackingBoxed or crated for safe transport, with couriers used to venues across the UK and worldwide

Lead timeMost projects take 2 to 3 weeks from sign-off, depending on the nature of the job and how busy the workshop is at the time

Can you make a stand from my own drawing?

Yes. Send a sketch, a render, a photo or just dimensions. We work out the engineering and send you drawings to approve before we build.

How much does a bespoke cake stand cost?

It depends on size, material, finish and complexity. Send the design, the size and the date you need it and we will quote with options.

How long does it take?

Most projects take 2 to 3 weeks from sign-off, depending on the nature of the job and how busy the workshop is at the time. Tell us your wedding or event date when you enquire and we will confirm the lead time in writing with your quote.

Will it actually hold the cake?

Yes. We engineer to the real weight, including floating and cantilever tiers, and tell you the safe load. That is the difference between a prop and a structure.

Is there a minimum order?

No. We make single pieces as readily as repeat runs.

Can you match a colour or a brand?

Yes. We colour match paint, powder coat and finishes, and can send a sample before we build.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We ship worldwide and have customers in more than 80 countries.

Can you work under NDA for an unreleased design?

Yes. We sign NDAs as a matter of routine.
