Make your own Christmas baubles this year. Our Family Christmas Clay Bauble Kit has everything you need to roll, texture, cut, paint and hang 10 to 12 handmade air dry clay decorations, with no kiln, oven or experience needed. It is a cosy afternoon activity for the whole family, and the decorations come out every Christmas after.
Unlike most clay kits, ours includes a real texture roller, the same 4 inch roller our pottery and polymer clay customers use, so your baubles have a beautiful, professional looking pattern rather than a plain finish. Put together by hand in our Dorset workshop and packed in a gift ready kraft box.
What is in the box
- 500g white air dry clay, enough for around 10 to 12 baubles
- A 4 inch Prop Options mini texture roller in Reeded, Olive or Full Bloom, yours to keep
- Three 7cm cutters: round bauble, star and Christmas tree
- Red velvet ribbon for hanging
- Gold and white paint with two brushes
- A wooden skewer for making the hanging holes
- A step by step instruction card
How to make air dry clay baubles
- Roll the clay out to about 5mm thick
- Roll once with the texture roller for an instant pattern
- Cut your bauble, star and tree shapes, then make a hole at the top with the skewer. Re-roll the offcuts for more
- Leave to dry for 24 to 48 hours, turning once halfway
- Paint the edges gold or white, thread the ribbon and hang on the tree

Questions
How many baubles does the kit make?
Around 10 to 12 baubles at 7cm across, depending on how thick you roll the clay and how many times you re-roll the offcuts.
Do I need an oven or kiln?
No. Air dry clay hardens at room temperature in 24 to 48 hours, so there is no baking or firing.
What age is it suitable for?
Ages 6 and up with an adult helping. Younger children enjoy pressing the cutters and painting while a grown up does the rolling.
How long does it take?
About an hour to roll, cut and texture, then a day or two to dry before painting and hanging.
Can I make more next year?
Yes. The texture roller and cutters are yours to keep. Just pick up a fresh block of air dry clay, ribbon and paint.
Are the baubles fragile?
Air dry clay is lighter than ceramic but can chip if dropped. Rolling to 5mm and drying slowly and evenly gives the strongest baubles. Store them wrapped in tissue.
When do I need to order for Christmas?
Each kit is packed by hand in our Dorset workshop. For UK delivery before Christmas, we recommend ordering by mid December.

Care Instructions
When caring for and cleaning your products, please use warm soapy water and wipe clean only. Abrasive cloths and detergents should not be used. This item is not suitable for the dishwasher and should not be submerged in water.
Although the highest amount of care has been taken to ensure each product is food-safe and ready for you to use, please wash before first use.

Made to order and handmade products are indicated by the blue tag at the top of the product information - generally, these are ready to despatch within 3-5 days and they will be sent via your chosen delivery service once made. For rush orders or special requirements, please contact us.
UK Delivery
Within the UK, deliveries will usually take place between 8am and 6pm and all our delivery methods our fully tracked. We offer free UK standard delivery (3-4 days) on orders over £75*. For orders under £75, a £3.95 P&P charge will be applied at checkout. UK orders over £150 benefit from free express delivery (1-2 days).
International Delivery
We ship globally with the majority of orders being despatched via our expedited service with Royal Mail or DHL Express. Orders to the US and Canada can arrive in as little as 2-3 business days, while other international locations take on average 3-5 business days. Please note, delivery times vary depending on your address and are for guidance only.
Returns Policy
We offer the right to return within 14 days of purchase.
You must contact us within 14 days and we must receive your return within 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
Please note - return orders may be subject to a £2.00 restock and admin fee. This will be deducted from your refund.
