What is the Beaded Column Separator?
The Beaded Column swaps the straight shaft for a run of soft, rounded beads, giving that on-trend bobbin look while it lifts and separates your tiers. It is a playful, contemporary take on the classic pillar separator and works beautifully on modern, whimsical and pastel-led cakes where you want a bit of character between the tiers.
Each separator is 3D printed to order in food-safe Eco PLA and finished in your choice of colour. The set comes with two utility plates and fixings, so you can run a single central column for a delicate accent or several columns for a fuller, more sculptural tier.

How many columns come with each size?
The 4", 6" and 8" separators include 4 columns, and the 10" and 12" include 8 columns. Every set also comes with 2 utility plates and fixings. You can use as few or as many of the columns as your design calls for.
How tall are the columns?
Choose 4" tall or 6" tall at each diameter, so you can set the gap between tiers to suit the cake.
Is it strong enough to support a cake?
Yes. The plates and columns are printed in durable Eco PLA and designed to carry tiered cakes safely when set up level and centred. For tall or heavy builds, dowel your tiers as normal and spread the load across more columns.
Why does it cost more than a basic pillar set?
This is an original Prop Options design, printed to order in food-safe, professional-grade material and supplied ready to tier. You are paying for a true, level fit and a finish that photographs well, not a generic moulded pillar.
How do I clean it?
Wipe clean with warm soapy water only. Avoid abrasive cloths and detergents, and do not put it in the dishwasher. Please wash before first use.
Can I mix it with your other column designs?
Yes. The Smooth, Beaded and Ribbed Beaded columns share the same plate system, so you can build a consistent set or mix profiles across a project.

Important Information
Always set your separator level and centred, and dowel tiered cakes as you normally would. For taller or heavier cakes, spread the weight across more columns. Please follow all standard cake construction guidelines when building tiered displays.

When caring for and cleaning your products, please use warm soapy water and wipe clean only. Abrasive cloths and detergents should not be used. This item is not suitable for the dishwasher and should not be submerged in water.
Although the highest amount of care has been taken to ensure each product is food-safe and ready for you to use, please wash before first use.

Delivery methods

Made to order and handmade products are indicated by the blue tag at the top of the product information - generally, these are ready to despatch within 3-5 days and they will be sent via your chosen delivery service once made. For rush orders or special requirements, please contact us.
UK Delivery
Within the UK, deliveries will usually take place between 8am and 6pm and all our delivery methods our fully tracked. We offer free UK standard delivery (3-4 days) on orders over £75*. For orders under £75, a £3.95 P&P charge will be applied at checkout. UK orders over £150 benefit from free express delivery (1-2 days).
International Delivery
We ship globally with the majority of orders being despatched via our expedited service with Royal Mail or DHL Express. Orders to the US and Canada can arrive in as little as 2-3 business days, while other international locations take on average 3-5 business days. Please note, delivery times vary depending on your address and are for guidance only.
Returns Policy
We offer the right to return within 14 days of purchase.
You must contact us within 14 days and we must receive your return within 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
Please note - return orders may be subject to a £2.00 restock and admin fee. This will be deducted from your refund.
