How They Are Built
Four decisions that set the price
Construction
A light internal frame carrying the lighting, with printed or acrylic faces. Keeping weight down matters more than almost anything else once a piece is going overhead, so the frame is designed for the rigging first and the look second.
Lighting
Internal LED, run for even spread rather than hot spots, which is the difference between a cube that glows and one with a visible lamp in it. Mains or battery, dimmable on request, and flicker free drivers where the piece is being filmed.
Graphics
Printed to your artwork, applied to the inner face so the print is protected and the surface stays clean. Colour matched to brand references, with a proof approved before anything is printed.
Suspension
Rigging points engineered into the frame rather than added to a face panel, with the hang weight stated and secondary safety provision where the venue requires it. We supply the weights and the method statement your rigger will ask for.

What to tell us
Size and quantity
Cube dimensions and how many. A 30cm cube and a 60cm cube are different builds, not the same build scaled, and the per unit cost falls sharply across a batch because the tooling and the print setup are already paid for.
How it hangs
Single point or four point, wire or chain, and what it is hanging from. Venue rigging rules vary enormously and some will not allow anything above a public area without documentation, so this is worth raising with them before you order.
Power
Whether you have power at height. If not, battery units are entirely workable but they change the build and set a runtime, so we would want to know the show hours.
Artwork
Vector files wherever possible, and brand colour references. A low resolution logo will not survive being printed at 30cm, and it is better to find that out now than at proof stage.

Exhibitions, activations, retail and venues
We build illuminated and suspended display for exhibition stands, brand activations, hotel foyers, retail interiors and permanent installations, for agencies, brands and venues. There is no minimum order, so a single feature is as welcome as a matched set across multiple stands, and we sign NDAs as standard.

Answered plainly
Can you make illuminated hanging cubes for an exhibition?
Yes. Branded illuminated cubes suspended from the ceiling are a standard build for us. We make them with an internal frame, even internal LED, printed faces applied to the inside so the artwork is protected, and engineered rigging points. Tell us the cube size, how many, and whether you have power at height, and we will quote it.
What is the minimum order?
There is no minimum. A single piece is as welcome as a batch. That said, the per unit price drops considerably across a run, because the print setup and the build jigs are already done.
Will the units match each other?
Yes. Matched output across a batch is the main reason to have these made rather than assembled from parts. The frame, the print and the lighting specification are kept on file, so a repeat order in a year matches the first run rather than being close to it.
Can you supply rigging weights and documentation?
Yes. We state the hang weight per unit and supply RAMS and a method statement. Where a venue requires structural calculations or secondary safety provision we will say so and arrange it. Anything suspended over a public area needs this, and most venues will not let you rig without it.
Mains or battery?
Either. Mains gives unlimited runtime and needs power at height. Battery removes the cable but sets a runtime, so we would size it to your show hours. We will advise which makes sense once we know the venue.
Can the lighting be dimmed, or filmed?
Yes to both. Dimming can be built in, and where the piece is going to appear on camera we specify flicker free drivers so it does not band or strobe on video.
What are your lead times?
Two to three weeks from approved artwork and drawings is typical. If you have a fixed show date, tell us at enquiry stage and we will tell you honestly whether it is achievable before you commit.
