Process
What we do to it
Cutting and engraving
Laser cutting and engraving for clean edges and fine detail, including etched logos, lettering and pattern work straight into the face or the reverse of a panel.
Forming and bonding
Bends, curves and formed sections, with bonded corners and joints worked so the seam does not announce itself. Cast acrylic is used wherever a piece is machined or polished, because the difference is visible.
Edge finishing
Polished edges that catch the light rather than showing the cut. This is where most cheap acrylic work gives itself away, and it is the single biggest difference between a display that looks premium and one that does not.
Colour and finish
Clear, frosted, mirrored, fluorescent and colour throughout rather than painted on. Combined with timber, metal or LED where the piece calls for it.
Specifying It Well
What acrylic is good at, and what it is not
Good for
Product display, risers, light boxes, counter units and anything that should be seen through rather than seen. Light, bright, and it makes a small object look considered.
Careful with
Heat, solvents and abrasive cleaning, all of which craze the surface and turn a clear panel cloudy. It scratches, and every scratch shows. Thin sections flex under load.
Food contact
Cast acrylic is widely used for dry food display, canapés and pastries. For hot service it is the wrong choice and we will say so and specify something else for the contact surface.
Combined builds
Most good pieces mix materials. A metal frame carrying the load with acrylic where you need to see through it is usually stronger, slimmer and cheaper than acrylic alone.

What thickness of acrylic do you work with?
It depends on the load and the span rather than a preference. Tell us what the piece has to carry and how big the unsupported sections are and we will specify the thickness, because thin acrylic over a wide span will bow even when it is technically strong enough.
Can you match a specific colour?
Yes. Coloured acrylic is specified from stock ranges where one matches, and where it does not we build in another material and colour match the finish to your brand reference, with test panels approved first.
Can you engrave or print a logo on it?
Yes. Laser engraving and etching into the face or reverse, and printed or applied graphics where the finish calls for it.
Is acrylic suitable for food display?
For dry items such as canapés, pastries and packaged product, yes, and it is widely used for exactly that. For hot service it is the wrong material and we will specify something else for any surface that meets food.
How should acrylic be cleaned?
Warm water and a soft cloth, never solvents or abrasives, which craze the surface and turn it cloudy. Cleaning guidance comes with every piece.
Is there a minimum order?
No. We make single pieces and repeat runs, including multi-site roll-outs with consistent finish across every unit.
