What is the BLOOMbase™ made from?
Each tier is constructed from rigid, FSC-certified compostable fibreboard and biodegradable adhesives, with a seed-infused core featuring UK-native wildflower species from DEFRA-registered suppliers.
Is it strong enough for professional cake builds?
Yes. The BLOOMbase™ supports 10kg+ when stacked, while remaining lightweight. It has a detachable lid for easier positioning, handling, and storage.
Can I use dowels?
Yes. It includes a pre-drilled 10mm central pilot hole. The tier can also be punctured by hand if needed. If the hole is not required, cover it with a small piece of tape before decorating.
Will seeds fall out when I use it?
No. Seeds are embedded within a secure internal layer inside the core. There is no loose seed during storage, handling, or decorating.
Is the BLOOMbase™ food safe?
As with all non-edible cake dummies, the BLOOMbase™ is not intended for direct food contact. Use a food-safe barrier before applying anything designed for eating.
